Question
If I create a 3D model of a creature, cut off the head, and leave the body separate, then work on the body and head individually, and later join both parts after completing the work—without detailing them while they are disconnected—is this considered prohibited? This is intended solely as an asset for a game, and my intention is not to worship it or engage in any sinful actions.
ANSWER
Allah in absolute terms has prohibited making images with a head, and He didn’t differentiate His Ruling based on the images dimension, nature, or the format in which it was created.
The Prophet said: ‘The head is the picture. When the head is severed, it won’t fall under the prohibited form of a picture.’

Hence, the method described above falls in this prohibited category, and it is prohibited to make this asset.
